In the new products section in the December 2008 issue of S.W.A.T. Magazine they feature our new product the "EvolutionsTM 5000 3-A" , which is comprised of the markets only certified 100% Kevlar XLT ballistic system. The 9mm V-50 is 1773 Ft/Sec., and features the patent pending Evo-FlexTM quasi woven laminate.

Verco materials a commercial enterprise started by Georgia Tech University and EAS inc have partnered for the advancement of the Dr. Speyer B4C ceramic integrated into the Skaalar Exo-Skin Gen 4+ system that was reviewed here http://www.defensetech.org/archives/004475.html. This alliance sets the stage for unveiling this new material and design for the 21st century soldier in June of 2009.

Later in January we will be introducing our newest NIJ certified ballistic package, The Quantum KXP 3-A.
It features the best ballistic materials on the market Spectra II, Kevlar XP, and plain woven K-129 for contact shots, fragments, and other rounds pure laminates systems have difficulties in defeating.
At .99 Lbs/Sq. Ft its light enough be very comfortable and concealable, but heavy enough to address the broad spectrum of threats, and is modestly priced compared to other Hi-End systems. Check our links page for more information on Kevlar XP. Starting at the end of January this system will be officially offered for sale.

The Quantum KXP 3-A has passed the NIJ Interim 2005 and at 1 Lbs/Sq. Ft. this system exceeds miltary frag specifications, defeats the hard to stop SXT ranger 9mm at 3-A velocities, and is outstanding against back face signature (trauma). The companies president Allan D. Bain said "It's everything we thought it would be when we started running preliminary testing late last year". Look for it on our site, as all our ballistic products are going to use this system.

After careful consideration and comparison of a variety of products we have chosen Gentex helmets to add to our website for sale to the LE & Military SO community. It's a great product and sales have been good thus far, and we believe that Gentex is the best choice for protection of this area of the body.
